I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
